Happy Belated Canada Day to all Canadians!! I hope it was fantastic for all of you!!! Things have been busy busy busy busy here!! All of them are such positive things happening too, (besides my husband working over 90 hours in two weeks). For instance on Thursday night we had a financial advisor come over to the house and help us achieve our financial goals, like traveling, retirement, stocks etc. I felt so at ease, I actually felt that we were taking our future into our hands and doing something to get to where we want to be. It so nice to hear her say, you guys are not that bad and we need to get my husband on my benefits, and then work on things from there! We meet with her again on Thursday to work on our budgeting.
Canada Day was okay. My husband was the OC ( Officer in Command) I was so proud of him because he was managing six newbies all by himself and was coordinating that whole site!! It sucked though because he was only supposed to work 7-2 but didn't get home until 5 and then he had to be in Waterton by 10:00 at night. So he left here at 7:30 and I don't see him again until Monday. I hate it that he is working so much, but sadly this is life and what his future career will be like. But, the nice thing was that I got together with my new friend and he hung out until 3:00 in the morning!!! We had like a mini picnic, I made cookies and took over some watermelon and she brought crackers and cheese with sausage!! YUM!!!
Today I was so proud of myself I got caught up in the gardening for the front lawn!!! It doesn't look so much like shit now!!! I was out there for about 2 hours, I still need to garden the back yard, but I think we might rotatiller the yard and just start from scratch. I also went for a bike ride because I have been putting on weight and I don't don't don't like it.
I'm happy that I work tomorrow, because I am so anxious for Monday so that I can actually see my husband, I miss him so much.
Oh Lucky you got a bike! I miss bike rides. Yea for gardening!! I fail.. hope you get to see more of Hubby soon!
ReplyDeleteFinancial Advisor sounds so exciting!! Kinda jealous actually! HUGS
